The area has been named Pèrigord Vert with a reason: nature here is unspoiled. It even seems as if the local population has adjusted to nature; in the hilly landscape a perfect harmony exists between the farms, the woods, the lakes and the typical French villages.
			The 'old' traditional French culture is everywhere in this area. Along the "Route Richard Coeur de Lion" you will find old castles, remnants of the crusades.
			However, apart from these cultural high points the area also has its gastronomical delicacies. The region is renowned for its cuisine with the foie gras, sweet chestnuts and mushrooms. Furthermore, there is, of course, the French wine, but it hardly requires any further introduction. There are many sporting possibilities in the area like biking,horseriding, golfing and hiking (La Lègerie is only 2 km from the Route Grand Randonnée no. 4). Nearby cities like Limoges, Perigueux and Angouleme are more than worth visiting.
